I would like to major in Advertising, and am aware that it is an extremely difficult program to get into. I was curious if anyone else is an advertising major, or works in the field, and could share how many people apply/get in, and what kind of stats you need.

[FSU Undergraduate Academic Program Guide](http://www.academic-guide.fsu.edu/Maps/MAPmediacommstudies.html)
There’s the academic map. The gpa is tougher w. this program. To get in with an AA you need atleast a 3.0 (normally the minimum requirement is a 2.0).
You have to maintain above a 2.8 all throughout college.

“Students majoring in Advertising will develop many skills related to account management, creative strategy, and media research and planning. Additionally, the major prepares students for careers in management, public relations, and advertising. Furthermore, 39 hours are required to complete the major, the language proficiency requirement must be completed, the maintenance of a general 3.0 GPA throughout the college career is also a must, and students are encouraged to follow a certain suggested curriculum handed in to him/her once he/she is accepted to the program. Candidates are also encouraged to get an internship.”

I’d probably assume you need over a 3.5.

ooh killer! With my early admission stuffs, I have 3.77 so far. The internship sounds interesting though, I wonder if they place you or you have to find one
