Limwire

Is there anyway to speed up download?

and how do you avoid 'need more sources' or even worse, 'awaiting sources'??

i don't know where 'force download' button is, whatever that is.

THANKS!

ahh, limewire sucks

get bearshare or frostwire

i don't see the difference between frostwire and limewire. it takes as much time to donlaod, if not more.

and you have to pay for bearshare!!! :(

no you dont....everyone says that but you can run a free version of it...dont go pro for bearshare. When you click the download tab at the top...it takes you to that page, go for the free version..your not missing much with pro anyways. I love it, and thats what i use

Frostwire is a lesser known similar version of limewire. My friend has it and says it dl's fast and not a whole lot of virus' running around the place like limewire.
Although I will say that the Frostwire out now is Beta, and its clean...so none of those pop ups and whatnot that come with the usual limewire software

Idk, but i will swear by bearshare

I'm not familiar with limewire, or bearshare, or any of that other stuff - so I may very well be putting my foot in my mouth right now... but you should consider using bittorrent and downloading torrents. (I don't know if that's the same thing as limewire), but it's fairly quick, and I have yet to recieve a virus. Just check the packaging of what you're downloading.

Bittorrent is different than gnutella....they all have pros and cons....gnutella is basically an open source program (no servers) clients exchange files from each others computers. Bittorrent dl's pieces of a file and puts them together to make the whole file. Considering all the pieces are out there to dl. Theres also alot more pirated stuff on gnutella software like limewire and bearshare....and a couple of companies have authorized files via bittorrent
