Lin Approximation

<p>It says we need to know it for the AB Calc exam, I've studied every topic in the princeton review book, but I didn't see lin approximation. Can someone explain this topic to me?</p>

<p>f(x) + f'(x) (change in x) approximate a function at 1.1 = f(1) + f'(1) (.1) and if the graph is concave up its less than, concave down its more than the actual value.</p>
