Linear algebra and discrete math in the same quarter?

Is linear algebra and discrete math in the same quarter too much? They'd be my only classes.

I should add, I've gotten all As in calc I-IV and am A-bound in diffy qs which I just had the final for......

I’m going to take a calc class, discrete math, a physics class, and an English class next quarter. Totals 20 quarter units.

Let’s see how hard I’m gonna fail :)

Linear & Discrete barely overlap (except for the proof foundations).

If you’ve gone through your Calc sequence then Linear shouldn’t be too hard - lots of overlap between Multivariable Calc and Linear.

Discrete is really not very difficult. It’s below any Calc class on the difficulty level.

Each may stretch your mind a little, but taking both together should be no problem. Like any other classes you need to put in the work. There is some overlap possible between the two. There are definitely much harder pairs of math classes. Linear Algebra will be the biggest challenge. Discrete could be made difficult if there is a lot of focus on proofs or you just don’t have the mind for it.

I never understood why Linear Algebra is considered a big bad math course. I couldn’t believe how easy it was. Maybe that was because I had taken statics before it? I don’t know, I just found it much easier than calc courses.
