I know this has been visited before, but the thread about linens nudged me to refresh this discussion.

Supposedly, one can rent linens at Bama Bound, rather than bring your own.

Do we do this beforehand, or just show up and ask for linens, and there are plenty on hand?

I know lots of people are flying in to Bama Bound and would welcome not having to drag pillows, sheets, and towels along.

And just to be clear, what do they provide, pillows, towels, and sheets, or just bed linens, and you need to bring your own towels?

Thanks for the refresher. I know those overnight bama bound sessions are coming up and newcomers to the forum would probably want to get a heads up on this.

IIRC and from the posts here, just show up at Bama Bound and request to rent bedding. I don’t know about towels, but they do provide a pillow, sheets, and probably a blanket. Note that you will need to bring soap and shampoo, as they are not provided (toilet paper is provided).

Welcome students (and parents) in advance to the beginning of your first year at UA. Roll Tide!

We did get towels last year for Bama Bound, along with a pillow, blanket and sheets.

If you want to be sure that policies won’t have changed and include pillows and towels, call Bama Bound/Orientation to be sure. (800) 933-BAMA

We recommend you dress casually and comfortably. In the winter, bring a jacket and dress in layers to accommodate for fluctuations in the weather and central heating.

Other items you should bring include:

* Bama Bound confirmation mailer with temporary parking pass
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Financial aid documents (parents’ tax returns, etc.)
- Pen and paper
- Campus Wide Identification Number (CWID)
- Photo identification (driver’s license, military ID, etc.)
- Proof of immunization if not already provided to the University
- Umbrella or raincoat
- Any special admission documents

In addition, students staying overnight for summer programs should bring the following items:

* An overnight bag and toiletries
- Twin bed linens and towels
- An alarm clock
- Gym clothes/tennis shoes, swim suit for Student Recreation Center visit (freshmen sessions only)

Linens are available for student rental through the Office of Housing and Residential Communities during Bama Bound. The cost is $10.00 per linen set and they are available onsite at residence hall check-in.
