Any idea which of these two ge's is easier? :[

i’ve heard both are easy…
go with the one you like better, because that will be easier for you.

I took A&O 2 with Lew and it was extremely easy. If his A&O 3 class is anything like his A&O 2 class, then you’re in for an easy A. Quizzes are open notes, book, and neighbor. Exams are closed-everything though, but still easy if you study. I got an A with relatively little effort.

ling = homework every week

Ling 1 - Took it last quarter with Schuh. The weekly homework and quizzes are not terrible, neither is the paper. The final exam was ‘ehh’ but there is a curve. I’m not saying it is extremely easy or easy though.

I thought A&O3 was closed. Anyway, A&O 3 is easier than Ling 1.

Ling 1 has weekly homework:

***?!

In conclusion, A&O 3 is easier than Ling 1.

what is a&o?

Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences

Thanks for responding guys.

Would I have to read the book for a&o or are his lectures/notes enough?

Do you really need to read that Pinker book, The Language Instinct, for Ling 1?

Friend who took it last quarter said no xD

Oh really? Crap! I forgot to save the receipt!!

God, I feel so lost in Ling 1! I can’t even do the ****ing homework! Aw crap, I should have taken Southeast Asian Studies 1!

For those of you who have taken this class before. Any advice? How the **** do you do the HW? A lot of people did well on the first homework.

for A&O you dont need the book. there is no reading, you just need to have his lecture notes.

as for whether A&O (with lew) is an easy A, only if you’re pretty good at science. it’s an easy B, you do have to study a lot for an A.

How much is a lot?

treat it like a serious class, not some joke GE. there’s no reading so put in some heavy days before the midterm and final. obviously you don’t need to study as much as your premed classes though.

Okay, thanks.
