Linguistics vs International Studies: Linguistics?

<p>What is the difference between them? On the UC application where I had to select a major and alt. major, it lists Linguistics and International Studies: Linguistics as being two entirely different majors.</p>

<p>International studies probably focus’s more on global culture and politics and probably requires you to take a language. I would give you more details but unfortunately the International Studies site is down…</p>
