<p>Thank you! As a parent of a recently admitted student for 2011 (still deciding), this is nice to see.</p>
<p>UW keeps evolving- I notice changes/improvements from when my son was a freshman, including the Parent Program. Some of the good things haven’t changed in generations, so it isn’t change for the sake of change. But this year’s alumni will have had a different campus/experience than next year’s new freshmen.</p>
<p>I think the re-focus on undergrads is real and significant in both commitment and funding. To steal a line–“We’ve got a new attitude”–not that the old one was that bad. But they are trying not to have UW be just for the strongest. Now there is help too for those that need it.</p>
