To avoid ending up with multiple competing STATS threads and to keep the STATS thread clean, use this thread to bump up as decision time approaches. That way, excited applicants know there already is a decisions thread and we don't get a bunch of "bump" posts cluttering the STATS thread.

As always, the MOST useful posts will come from those of you who receive bad news. A thousand thanks to those of you who, in spite of your disappointment, come back to post to help future applicants. There will be incredibly qualified, amazing applicants who do not receive the news they are hoping for, and it is essential for future applicants to see how very competitive USC admissions has become.

To all: Please do your best not to criticize the qualifications of those accepted :) , even if their "numbers" are not tippy-top. There is undoubtedly something USC saw in them that makes them the perfect addition to the class, and it isn't their fault anyone received bad news - they deserve a chance to celebrate.

So as decision time approaches, let's all commit to supporting and commiserating with those who receive bad news and to celebrating with those who receive great news. I have enjoyed reading all of your posts this year - you are a great bunch of applicants. ALL of you deserve to become part of the Trojan family. Remember that a letter in the mail does not define you and that there are incredible opportunities for you in a multitude of settings - great things are ahead.

Just popping this up - since the STATS thread is currently at the top of the forum, I wanted to provide a little reminder to keep the STATS thread clean - just STATS. Start new threads for questions and discussion or ask them here.

It is GREAT to see the January admits updating us with their STATS posts!

Good news for an USC alumnus who had a niece accepted today… He announced on another board his niece was accepted to the Viterbi School of Engineering. She is the eleventh Trojan in the family!

THANK YOU @itsapillowpet for getting things going on the decisions thread!

And as always, special thanks to those experiencing disappointment who post their news to help future applicants. @AmaranthineD, you are clearly an incredible candidate (and your list of acceptances is AMAZING!) - thank you for posting.

Thankfully, my daughter was accepted today into the USC School of Dramatics Arts as a Theatre major. We live in Tampa, FL, and the acceptance packet arrived today. For those keeping track of these things… her FA portal had shown that major when there was a glitch before and she had received the Open House Invite for SDA. So, at least in her case, Invite & glitch showing major = acceptance.

Good luck to those awaiting the news still… and Fight On, USC !!!
