<p>EW stands for Early Write; it’s basically an early acceptance letter the college sends to the applicants it likes the most.</p>
<p>By the way, I asked the fin aid office whether I needed to send any additional documentation to make my fin aid app complete and they said that I don’t, but the website still says that it’s incomplete.</p>
<p>hey about how many early write letters do they send out, and approximately when? do they send them off to internationals too?</p>

<p>Could someone be a little more specific about how to view this thing? There are so many links and I’m not sure which one would work to look for this info. Maybe post a link for the financial aid thing to see if we can all log in to view this page?</p>

<p>[and then a link to the page shows up. It’s specific to my son, so I can’t post the link. And as others have shown, no specific awards show up, it just says they’ve received all the documents needed for FA]</p>

<p>Sorry, I hate to double post, but I just finished talking to my friend and wanted to offer some potential wisdom/wishful thinking.</p>
<p>First, I applied to BC, and I think I read somewhere that they update their “tabs” (stuff about FA, enrollment, etc) over a period of days. So, maybe Amherst is the same? Also, they could just be really behind on entering admitted students or they do it alphabetically. One of my friends who EDed to a school said two weeks after he was notified of his admittance, he was still listed as “pending.” Or, the link about FA could be messed up (some people, afterall, don’t have an award posted). </p>

<p>i have it. i did not have it just a few days ago, so i would speculate that it isnt indicative of anything since i cant see an actual award, but whatever. maybe its in preparation of decisions being released?</p>

<p>I was an early write for WesleyanU…and got in Caltech…and WashU with merit scholarship…ergh</p>
<p>I don’t have one either…I’m an international. Faxed my parents tax returns before the deadline.
Gah hope this isn’t indicative of our admissions! I got deferred from Yale early action…so want an acceptance for once!</p>
