Haha, nice! The bad part is is that a lot of people on here think that way.

Yay! freznow, a fellow Latin student!

Hehee, salve, salve!

Edit: I just searched this thread, and we’re the only two Latin students. I would have thought there’d be more…

Latina vivit!

i took latin freshman year but my teacher was a total dick, so i transferred mid-year. french is awesomer anyway.

Ahh, I wish I were a Latin student still. 3 solid years and I get no APs or SAT IIs out of it. I just get a new way to figure out what paucity and egress mean. Linguam Latinam amo.

Vivamus, mea Lesbia, atque amemus!

the only thing i remember from latin is how to say the pledge of allegiance and the our father. freaking catholic school …

^^Haha, nice. Amo Latinam!

Millancad, what’s sad is that I know that your quote is Catullus 5. :D

Odi et amo. Quare id faciam, fortasse requiris.
Nescio, sed fieri sentio et excrucior.

I think Latin pretty much rocks French. Seriously? French? Haha, jk.

french is so awesome. i wanna be fluent in it, and hopefully study abroad in college. i thought latin would be more helpful, well obviously bc i chose it first. but there was only one latin in teacher in my school, and like i said he was a dick, an no way i was staying with him for three years. plus we didnt even have AP!

Definitely makes sense. We have one Latin teacher in my school, but she is absolutely amazing. Haha, she even has a gun that shoots foam discs and a monkey that you can shoot across the room (she’s in her mid - 20s, haha). On top of that amazingness, she is an awesome teacher and she is really nice to everyone (and drinks caffeine all the time). We have AP too. I’m sorry about your Latin teacher. At least you found french though.

That’s 85!

Haec si, inquam, attuleris, venuste noster, cenabis bene, nam tui Catulli plenus sacculus est aranearum!

-My favorite carmen. Oh man “Nomina istud carmen” must be the best game I’ve never played before. :D

Smilemyonly, it’s too bad you had a bad teacher. Latin can be a lot of fun when you get a good one. Mine’s leaving this year and I’m getting a new one and I have no idea what she’s going to be like!

^^Ooo… new teachers are never fun (well the suspense anyway).

Carmen 13! I actually kinda liked that one. I HATED with a passion Carmen 64. It was long, boring, and stupid Dido. It was funny though how her clothes happened to be coming off while she was running into the sea… but anyway…

It’s sad when there are bad Latin teachers, since it really is such a fun language. JCL Convention is AWESOME!

Passer, deliciae meae puellae, quicum ludere, quem in sinu tenere, cui primum digitum dare appetendi et acris solet incitare morsus

I knew this one was going to be on the AP LL test this year!

Oh, freznow, which author did you do? We did Ovid.

ohh yea you current latin students?
pater noster, qui es in caelis, sanctificteur noman tuum, adveniat regnum tuum, fiat volunta tua, sicut in celo, et in terra. in nomine patris, et filii, et spiritus sancti, amen.

haha saying that everyday for 3 months it just kinda gets stuck in your head. i probably spelled most of it wrong though.

Haha, nice!
The Lord’s Prayer.

I love CAtholicism! Haha.

Ya, some of it is spelled wrong. :D

haha yea i only wrote half because i knew i was spelling half of it wrong and didnt want to misspell some more. i still remember like random latin words, and saying “adsum” for attendance lol
