Hi, I’m currently a junior in high school looking for a good list of Accelerated dental programs I could apply to this fall. However, gathering this list with a true ranking in accordance to the clinical work they offer is difficult. Can anyone recommand a few good accerlated programs and explain why they think it’s a good one?
Hey, I am a senior this year interested in the same thing! I found this: http://www.montclair.k12.nj.us/WebPageFiles/375/special_dental.pdf
Check out the requirements and costs for these programs. Are you competitive? Can you afford these schools? You will get adequate clinical experience at every school; worry more about getting accepted and paying for it. The rule of thumb is to choose an undergrad school that lets you graduate with the least debt and the cheapest dental school you get accepted to.
There are extremely limited spaces in each class. I’m not sure any are auto-admit to dental school, but rather grant you an automatic interview if you have a minimum GPA and DAT (and it’s not average). If you don’t meet those requirements, you have to apply to dental school along with everyone else in the cycle.
