list of adjectives in describing self

As we all know, we need to come up with five or so adjectives to descirbe ourselves on our application, whether it be for recommendations or for a supplementary question. Do the adjectives really matter? ... anyway..
I love words, so I thought we could start a list and then we could just choose from them :P .. make everyone's life a little easier?

ambitious
attentive
observant
extroverted
fun
creative
brooding
empathetic
leader

also, perhaps making a list will give us an idea of what the "cliche" adjectives are / words to avoid (I know that 'hardworking' is one of them... hehe)

Since when did we need to have a list of adjectives that describe ourselves?

Might be me, but brooding has negative connotations. Fun, "leader", creative, extroverted are not really suitable words.

I know the Stanford supplement has a question like that, but I'm not sure it's all that common. At any rate, good topic. Here are some others:

ambitious
attentive
observant
extroverted
fun
creative
brooding
empathetic
leader
motivated
intellectual
curious
independent
open-minded
responsible
organized

On my school's "brag sheet" we're supposed to include 3-7 adjectives for the teacher recommendations or whatever. That's why I thought we would need them.

honest
considerate
driven
spontaneous
artistic

mature
amiable
persevering
tolerant
warm

johnson
family
Christmas
circus
PIE

I are not English good.

ambitious
attentive
observant
extroverted
fun
creative
brooding
empathetic
leader
motivated
intellectual
curious
independent
open-minded
responsible
organized
honest
considerate
driven
spontaneous
artistic
mature
amiable
persevering
tolerant
warm
intuitive
unconventional
daring
systematic
outspoken
thoughtful
vivacious
energetic
social
emotional
altruistic
punctual
confident
focused
assertive

... if they do not seem that suitable, that probably means that they just don't really match your personality, hehe. It's just a bunch of words to choose from.

Leader's a noun, not an adjective.

Sorry... bothers me. :)

hahaha... yeah, i thought of that as i typed it, but maybe you could put it as "a leader?" :P or whatever. they'd understand what you meant anyway i guess

see but if we create a list and everyone picks from it, who stands out?

What if you're more than one of those? You know what bothers me... is when people try to use ONE word to describe themselves. People are MULTIdimensional.

I am this:

lazy
boring
tired
impatient
candid
blunt
bashfull
a loner
...
and hardworking...:D

My sons have used - in various contexts:

logical
practical
independent

adventuresome
consistent
intelligent (which lead, in an interview, to a discussion of what intelligence means)
observant

For what it is worth...

well, I guess this also makes us look at it both ways: we get an idea of what words come to mind first off, and this will help us look for words that are even more unique.
