List of colleges that place low emphasis, or no emphasis, on SAT Writing?

could we compile one?

Georgetown does not consider it.

pretty much all colleges place a low emphasis on the writing section - at least, compared to the emphasis they place on the other two. i actually don’t know of any colleges that consider it really important, except maybe cali schools (they threatened to stop considering SAT scores if a writing section wasn’t added). but even they don’t really care too much.

I know that Grinnell doesn’t consider it.

Dang it. That was my best section :(

well it’s still very good to do well on that section, just not as bad if you do somewhat poorly compared to the others

Hobart and William Smith does not consider Writing.

damn writing is one of my best sections too!

yay! Writing section is my worst section.lol. My best are C + M. ^_^

I know that MIT and caltech don’t consider writing too much at all. ^_^

ok, so:

Georgetown
Grinnell
MIT
Cal Tech
Hobart
William Smith
Northwestern?
U Chicago?

Hobart and William Smith Colleges are a pair of coordinate male/female schools, generally regarded as one.

The Vandy admissions lady said no weight was going to be placed upon there until they saw evidence of how writing scores correlated to college performance.

Colgate does not consider writing

Georgetown
Grinnell
MIT
Cal Tech
Hobart
William Smith
Northwestern?
U Chicago?
Colgate
Vanderbilt

It would probably be easier to compile a list of colleges and universities that put EQUAL emphasis on the Writing section.

Not a single college cares about it. My mom works for the admissions department at Washu and she said most colleges don’t even look at the score.

thats not true
