Also, I know we come to UCI for education, and not for the grades.. but there are still those people who only care about GPA... so.. I think we should all contribute to make a list of easy classes that fulfill GE's.

-Anthropology 2A with Douglas
-Oceanography with Druffel

-any anthro class with douglas
-all intro arts/art studio classes like art studio 9 series and arts 1a
-history classes
-psych 7A with hagedorn
-trans gangs with valdez
-econ 1/13

I think creating this thread might have backfired on me… I can’t register for any classes that I want, since my window opens the last day (Dec. 4th @ 10:30).

I still don’t get why they randomize the enrollment windows for all freshmen under 45 units. My friend who has 0 units gets to register 4 days ahead of me when I have 17.

Nah, I doubt this thread makes much of a difference, junshik. Those classes are probably widely known by other students (through ratemyprofessor & through word of mouth). I mean, the reason why the classes are so easy/good is because students do well and when students do well they tell their friends about the class. Like Douglas, for example. Everybody knows about him and he would have gotten full regardless. Don’t worry, I didn’t get in either and I’m a sophomore -_- These full classes are ridiculous. Blame budget cuts and crappy registration times.

Btw, yeah they kind of have to randomize the freshmen because you guys have a very similar amount of units. I know, it’s really unfair. Last year I was stuck with a four hour lab on a Friday night with my crappy registration time even though I had 24 credits from AP classes. That did me absolutely no good. This whole registration system really stinks.

Chem 51B (Organic Chemistry II) Freeman. No mechanisms BS required, every problem is synthesis which is what ochem is really about. mean is exceptionally low since you’re competing with memorizing premeds, so as one of the chemists and engineers capable of independent thought you’ll dominate them.
