*** List of FSU ALUMNI ***

Okay... I want to first start off by saying I am a huge UF Homer. I have been doing research in regards to the Alumni who have graduated from FSU.

I have come to the conclusion:

FSU has a very large & prestigious alumni list:

List of Florida State University alumni - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

UCF, FIU, FAU, and USF don't even come close in comparison....

Impressive collection. Hey - wait, my name's not there...never mind. ;)

When comparing alumni lists, it's important to note establishment dates.

For instance:

FSU 1851 (157 years)
FAU 1961 (47 years)

It's not the full picture but age definitely has something to do with it.

Regardless, congrats to FSU for providing classes to motivated people.

True, age is certainly related to entrenchment and growth. It is important to note that FSU was tiny, compared to today, until the post-WWII period.

In the early 1930s, when FSU was awarded the first Phi Beta Kappa chapter in Florida, it had only an enrollment of 2,663 students (For detail see: Florida State University - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ).

In the mid-1970s, when I attended, enrollment was somewhere around 22,000 students. (A very regrettable period of bell-bottoms, Disco music and gas-guzzler cars )

Hey what do you know:

Someone added pictures.
