List of Private Colleges that do not require PROFILE

I am looking for a list of private colleges that require fafsa only. Is there such a list?

https://profileonline.collegeboard.com/prf/PXRemotePartInstitutionServlet/PXRemotePartInstitutionServlet.srv</a></p>

this is who uses it (or uses the IDOC service)

fyi, NYU is a private that uses fafsa only

Thanks. Isn’t NYU notorious for very disappointing offers?

it depends. My son will be a junior this year at NYU. He started with a 30K scholarship and this year they increased it to 32K. He probably was in the top pool of candidates (but didn’t get offered to be a Presidential Scholar).

he had an SAT of 790 math, 740 CR and 720 Writing.
My EFC is about 12K (so no Pell grants)

It sounds like he received merit aid. I wonder if they would just give out loans only to a less desirable candidate?

^^^ probably lower scholarships and bigger suggested plus loans.

also expect to pay your FULL efc no matter how great your stats are.

There are about 300 some colleges that utilize the Profile. I think there are around 1800 private colleges. It’s going to be far easier to dbl check any school you might be interested in rather than finding a list.

You’re askinng the wrong question. you want a private college thatt is FAFSA only that also meets 100% of need it sounds like. I don’t know of any.

hmom5 - lol - your posts are always immaculate. Have you started drinking already tonight?

I’m typing on an 8 inch screen but I’ll try a drink and see if I do better:)

haha

I was just wondering if you started the celebration early.

OP - I hacked your thread and I apologize. Can you forgive two regulars (me not as regular as hmom5)?

There are plenty of colleges that are non-profile and meet 100% of need. Unfortunately, I haven’t found a search engine that will search on that criteria… so it’s hunt and peck to find them.

Really??? We started a thread here last year asking for schools that use FAFSA ONLY…no school form, no profile…that meet full need and NO ONE came up with a single school. There are schools where full need is met, but the ones mentioned all had a school finaid form, or used the Profile to compute need. NONE used ONLY the FAFSA.

Please do provide a list if you have one.

I am talking non-profile. It is almost impossible to find a school outside the CC’s that does not use an institutional form.

Willamette only required the CSS profile for early action candidates. It is not required for regular admission candidates. There may be more schools that have this policy.

Denison in OH and Trinity U in San Antonio are FAFSA only, and St. Olaf is FAFSA only after FY.

Here is what I have so far:

denison
st olaf
trinity university
u of miami
nyu
university of san francisco
university of san diego
RIT

Ugh…there’s a whole other thing to fill out besides the FAFSA? How do people even find out about this stuff?

It’s called the CSS/PROFILE. If you’re looking at schools that require it, you’ll NEED to find out about that stuff.

In the Pacific NW:

Univ of Portland
Puget Sound
Willamette

FAFSA-only private schools. Willamette, in particular, was pretty generous with merit and need-based aid, and met nearly full need for us.
