What is the best SAT Word list to study from????

I know in a previous post, someone posted one, and claimed it to be the best. I think it had 3400 SAT words, or something like that. If I remember correctly, the person even posted the word list online.....along with the post

I looked through the forum, however I cannot find that post....If someone could help me find it.......or give me another suggestion for the best word list, then that will be greatly appreciated.

One common list CCers refer to is the Testmasters' list. However, I don't really retain much from reading word lists. I need to hear it in a sentence with an accompanying definition or synonymn.

If at all possible, can someone post the Testmaster's List....I'm pretty sure I've seen it being posted before.......If not, then can someone tell me where I can get the list from....

If you look at that post the list was apparently deleted. But I agree with pre, I don't think the SAT tests on rote memorization of words. It's better to learn how to use the word in a sentence and a synonym. The Barron's book How to Prepare for the SAT has a word list with flashcards as well. It's pretty good. The words in there are words that you should know anyway.

ok then........i will try to use the newly learned words in sentences....

To make sure that I remember the word, I will study the definition and formulate sentences on say Day 1. And on Days 2-5 or whatever, I will make more sentences with those words, however without looking at the definition...I think that will help me remember the words. Then, I will study new words and repeat the process......I'll do this for as many words as time permits...

Please correct me if I'm wrong or if there is an alternative solution....

Also, would it help to learn word prefixes and suffixes......I have a list of common english root words.....there are probably about 30-35 of them...I got them from the Kaplan CD Program....

Also, they recommend to study verbs in a Latin Language, such as Spanish, because some english words are derived from these verbs...

Would these strategies actually be effective or are they just useless....
