<p>Not necessarily – perhaps you’ve noticed that a lot of the schools that have been listed so far are very high quality. I think we can assume that none of these schools are in need of more students, but they are hard at work building quality classes of students. If you need a tuba player and your first choice decided to attend “Other U” than you take your 2nd choice Tuba player off the waitlist… The same goes for student leaders, theater majors or any other uniquely talented students…</p>

<p>I think we may see a lot more news here about mid week. I know one kid who had been accepted to six schools finally made his choice last night. So five schools will be processing his decline come Monday.</p>
<p>I don’t believe for one minute that if the tuba player from Texas turns a school down, that their waitlist is coded in such a way that they can then instantly find another tuba player from Texas and slot him or her in.</p>
