List of Universities and Chances (Decent GPA,SAT not as high as expected, Interesting ECs)

Hi everyone,

I’m an international applicant from Taiwan, and while I’m currently in the process of completing my applications, the following list is the schools I’m applying to:

-UCLA (Economics)
-USC (Public Relations/International Relations(Global Business))
-University of Michigan (Sports Management)
-NYU (Sports Management)
-Boston College (Business)
-UIUC (Business/Marketing)
-Northeastern University (Business)
-Boston University (Business)
-University of Washington in Seattle

(I already submitted UMich/Boston College/UIUC/Northeastern for EA colleges)

I have a weighted GPA of 3.99 throughout my high school career
My superscore on SAT is 1940 (600 on critical reading/680 on math/660 on writing)
(1870 for UCLA since it doesn’t accept superscore)
I also have a score of 103 for TOEFL.

I took AP Economics scored 5 on Macroeconomics/4 on Microeconomics/5 on Chinese

Senior Year Course Load:
AP Comparative Government
AP Physics
AP Calculus BC
Honors English

Chinese
(school only offers 4 AP courses and one honors course, so this course schedule is the second most packed course schedule in our school)

My Extracirrcular Activities are:
-President of a Make-A-Wish club in our school (10th-12th grade)
-Vice President of English Debate Club (10th-11th grade)
-Head Coordinator/Public Relations of Taiwan Lacrosse Association (Career Oriented/2014-Now) -> (I have actually done a lot for this activity which has been one of my main focus throughout the past years but will be too much to talk about here)
-Participant of Volunteer Event in Cambodia
-School Yearbook Publication Editor
-Aboriginal Tribe Service Volunteer Event Coordinator

btw just so you know I will not be asking for financial aid

The list is in order of my first to last choices, so what do you guys think? What are my chances?

@intparent I updated my profile. Take a look thanks!

I will only comment on California schools.
UCLA/USC: Reach
Even though your GPA and EC’s are very good, SAT score is not competitive. You need to be in the 2100+ range for a solid chance at these schools.

@Gumbymom but idk I think still try tho haha since college admissions are quite capricious for their applicant selections and I know chances are low but not impossible right :stuck_out_tongue:
