<p>Emory really, really, really cares about Demonstrated interest. They mention it like 1000 times on their website and ask that you visit, or order a video from their website… preferebly both. They actually said ( I read somewhere) something like 6-10% of their applications get rejected because of lack of demonstrated interest.</p>
<p>I think every selective school that does a holistic evaluation will consider demonstrated interest to some degree.</p>
<p>There are some schools that are absolutely famous for this (perhaps for good reason, perhaps not) like Tufts, Brandeis and Georgetown.</p>
