I feel uncomfortable answering this question.

When I visited the 5 Cs (and consulted friends attending the 5Cs), I noticed a widely held view that different kinds of people are naturally a better fit for different claremont colleges. While there may be some truth to this, and each of the 5Cs may have a dominant culture, I believe I would be a good fit for Pomona, CMC and Pitzer too. Hence, Pomona and Pitzer are also on my list. However, I don't necessarily believe the admission officers will feel the same way. They gave me the impression that people who fit into CMC may not fit into other colleges and this might negatively impact my application.

What are the views of people on this forum? Would Pomona/Pitzer be detrimental to include in my application? Should I omit these? Is it ~dishonest~ to not list all of them? Especially if I applied to Pomona ED.... ?

(But submitting my CMC app by Dec1 to be eligible for their merit scholarships)

I didn’t list the colleges I applied to.
Granted, I also didn’t apply to any of the other 5C’s.
I’m pretty sure this is an optional question anyways

It is an optional question. I had some reservations about answering it as well, because I’m applying to Pomona and Pitzer too, but I asked people I know that went/go there/got in and most of them have said that they didn’t answer it. So I’m probably not going to either… haha.

A few years ago my D1 applied to Pitzer, CMC and Pomona. I believe she listed all 3 on her app. I wondered if they would figure she was a better fit for one and she would get rejected at the others. She was accepted at all 3. OTOH they might also have figured she would definitely come to the 5C campus - just a matter of which one. She is at CMC BTW.
