The Hopkins supplement in the Common Application has an optional social security field, which I chose not to fill out.

However, further down, when it asks for the document upload for the two essays, it asks that I "[include]...the last four digits of [my] Social Security number." among other things, like my name, birthday etc.

Include your name, birth date, and the last four digits of your Social Security number on these and all other additional sheets.

If I did not put my SS number in the original field, do I have to put it on the essay documents? I'm assuming that the SS number would be for identification purposes so they could match my essays.
