do i even have a chance at any of the programs, im lookin at rpi, vcu,uf, and union,um

munnabhai mbbs .......first of all dont post ur stats on 7 diff. posts with the exact same text...next, it doesnt look like u have any true leadership positions i.e. position of office which shows the adcoms that you did not have enough dedication to get a leadership position.....academic stats wise ur GPA is pretty nice but ur SAT is simply average......do well in your SAT 2's and im curious what grade are you in?

when you say leadership roles, do you think "peer leadership" would count? I'm in the program for senior year. from what i heard about the program, the seniors act like a mentor to the frehsmen.

Do I have a chance of getting in to any program with these stats?:
5.01 gpa weighted and 3.86 UW
IB diploma candidate
13/527 in one of the top 20 high schools in the nation
1340/1600 SAT
1940/2400 SAT (this should go up to about 2100 in november)
SAT II's in october (which one's do I need to take?) (I can probably do extremely well in math, chem, and bio)

ec's
Vice President of Science Honors Society (Excaliber)

do I have any chances at umkc or any of the other ones? feedback is greatly appreciated.

dumbstruck, i think thats a very good program and you should definitely make note of it either on your app or your interview.....but most definitely make a short description somewhere in your app on what the program is mainly about and u should b good!

md4me i missed ur post sorry but after looking it over you have apretty solid chance....however the only thing tahts truly holding you back would b ur SAT scores....if you can get that to about 1450 or higher...i think youll have a good shot at most programs dont know too much about the UMKC prog. as i didnt apply however you would do pretty well at UMiami, USouth Florida, Drexel and BU.....do your research and youllb fine!

thanks thedhali

thedhali, what kind of research are you talking about? and isn't UMiami USouth Florida and BU the types of programs that you have to apply to after the first year there? thanks.

no no i know for a fact that Umiami Usouth Florida and BU are all high school progs b/c i applied to all and am attending the Usouth FL program....and by research i just meant look at tthe schools' websites, visit if you can surprisingly enough this comes up during the interview have you visited the campus? howd you like it, etc.... thats all i meant by research

thedhali- thanks a lot for your information.

can someone tell me how they plan on financing their education because 40 G undergrad per year and more for grad isn't the kind of money that i nor my parents have.

also, why are the interviews for the colleges this late in the year...don't the schools start up very soon? and if they do the interview this late, when do you get accepted? thanks

uhmmm most of the time because you r one of the top students at the universities you get a lot of finan. aid by way of scholarships and whatnot.......the interviews are usually around february and/or march depending on your school and you find out the last week of march/first week of april roughly.....!

thanks a lot. just wondering- how many programs did everyone apply to?
