Listed National Merit Semifinalist as "National," problem?

<p>I recent just submitted my common app to UMich, then read the FAQ out of curiosity. I noticed that they note that National Merit Semifinalist should list it as a "state/regional" distinction, while I already sent an app with it listed as "national." I don't think this is a big deal, since college know what the award is; I'm making a separate app just to fix that error.</p>

<p>Does anyone think this is a big enough error to contact UMich directly?</p>

<p>I have no experience with this, but I would guess that it’s a non-issue.</p>

<p>I would contact UMich just to be sure, though.</p>

<p>I wouldn’t contact UMich, it’s a tiny error and I’d guess that most NMSFs mark it as national. I know I did.</p>
