Hey on the common app you can go up to seven activities...

does it look bad if you're able to fill up all of them? like does it give the impression you have too much going on. is it better that i only choose a few of them, or should i really list all seven if they have been important to me.

also, where do you list something like the National Honor Society?
I just do think it's worth taking up space on the honors/awards section....
additional area?

imho, i think you're not supposed to have enough room on the commonapp to list all your activities.
just send additional info or whatever it's called

It's totally fine to fill them all up, most people do (at least most people here). You can put any extras in the additional info section, but check with the individual school, some don't like that.

okay, also what about resumes. i'm obviously a little behind on my app than most people. but i realized more and more it's probably a good idea for me to have one. just because i have service/extracurricular are my strong point. i'm probably the most involved person in my school currently.
as long as i keep it to a page, will it be okay?

No, fill them up if you can.
My counselor said that last year she called up several schools who had not yet sent out admissions responses for several of her students to ask about their status and the schools told her that they were a little weak on the ECs. and that they like to see them filled all the way up, or atleast mostly filled.
Of course if there are like 15 slots...don't, but most schools have about 5-7 and it looks good if they're filled up (according to the schools that my counselor spoke to).

"You should not feel obliged to submit to the Board anything in addition to the required credentials."
So, I would think that they don't really care about a resume.
Everything else in your application, especially your essay should be enough, & should really just speak for itself.
