AIME Qualifier AMC 12 110.0

National Chemistry Olympiad Qualifier

One of the highest AMC scorers at school(actual award)

MUN honorable mention

Honor Roll all year(i’m pretty sure i shouldn’t list this one)

AP Scholar with Distinction(the one they give to people who took five APs and got 4s or 5s)

National Merit Commended(i don’t think I’ll advance to semi-finalist considering the cutoff the past years)

NHS, Mu Alpha Theta, Chemistry Honor Society

I think that’s it.

Oh yeh btw should i list AP Scholar with Distinction and commended if i know FOR SURE that i will get it but if i haven’t gotten the award when i apply(this applies to some rolling admission schools).

thank you.

In general, include the awards that you are most proud of and have nationwide recognition. First place in the subjects in 10th grade are things that don't mean as much to me (as someone who's just looking at your list). It also depends on what you're looking at majoring in. If you're going into a science related field, definitely include the Chem Olympiad Qualifier, and probably the math competitions. I would include honor roll if you have the room, it's a common thing to include. When possible, cut the length of the title of the award, unless the name would give it more clout. If you have the space, include everything that you feel is important. If you don't have the room, start with the most recent awards or the ones that you feel describe you best.

As far as putting the awards on that you haven't yet recieved, I would not include those. Most colleges are pretty well educated about when these come out and may look at your application a little differently if they feel you are being presumptous.

BUMP More opinions PLEASE!!

List a good amount of your awards on the actual application. Make an additional brag sheet on Word in a chart format mimicking that on the application, and add the rets of the awards. Follow Ctheflute's advice as well.

BUMP is this the general consensus or r there more opinions. I urge u guys to answer me! Thank you

You have good answers already. The chemistry olympiad and math awards should be near the top of the list. I would also put the english competition in there somewhere - it emphasizes your accomplishments and reminds the reader that english is not your first language.

Do not mention awards until you have been given them. You can send a short update letter early spring if you have a new batch of accomplishments.

ok thank you. I think i'll list these and use the additional space. thank you
