Listing ecs in order of importance?

I'd say my ec that is most important to me is an academic competition that i spend about 10-12 hours a week on for six months a year. However, i've only participated in this activity my junior and senior years although i am co-captain this year. Would it be bad to list that first because i've only done it for two years?

Because of a situation in my sophomore year where i switched schools i wasn't able to participate my sophomore year even though i wanted to.

It is important to you and current and you have a key role. For all of those reasons, you absolutely can list it first. I think they would question an ec that you only participated in in 9th and 10th grade as the most important because they would wonder why you aren’t doing it anymore. Since you are still doing this one and it takes so much of your time, I think it is smart to list it first.
