So, I am taking the SAT once more in October and will want to list the scores I receive on the Common App. However, I obviously can't send in the common app to any schools before I receive those scores, because then I can't list them on the app (a best I can say I am scheduled to take the SAT in Oct.). Even though the colleges will receive official score reports, I hate the idea of not having my best scores appear on the common app. Furthermore, I plan to apply to ~2 schools Early Action, which means that if I'll be cutting it close if I decide to wait until I receive the scores personally to then send them the common app. If you understand what I am trying to say, what should I do????

You don’t have to list your SAT scores on the app. You can state on the application that you will be taking them in October. For regular decision at most schools, the deadline to send in SAT scores is December. For Early Action or Early Decision is usually in November. If you are truly confident that you will do better in October then just list on the application that you will take the SAT then and exclude your current scores. What really matters is the official report anyway so don’t worry. You don’t want to delay sending in your application because of this problem.

I don’t speak ‘supercool’ so I’m not going to try to decipher all of this, however I would recommend calling the 2 schools you are going to apply EA and ask what is the last testing date accepted.

^^^I didn’t think it was that difficult to understand, but thanks for the help I already know the dates for the last accepted tests, so for those two schools I will likely do as changeinentropy suggested. For the other reg decision schools, however, this will not be an issue. Thanks again.

Sorry, lame attempt at humor lost in cyberspace :-/ I don’t attempt to answer anything I don’t feel certain of. There are way too many people with great advise here to cloud the waters.
I crossed posts w/ changeinentropy. Had I seen their post I would have left it at that.

Oh ha well thanks anyways!
