Listing sports on your application

So, I play a varsity sport for about 3 months during the yr....so of course I write that down on my application, about 20hrs/week, for 12 weeks... BUT then I spend about 6 months of the off-season practicing (seperate from the team),I would say maybe 8 hours/week. So the question is, do I combine these all together under one activity (ie, soccer) and then just average it? Or should I put them under two activites (ie, Varsity Soccer and just plain ol' soccer) with their seperate commitments? I'm sure other people do the same thing as me, so what is the correct way?

Thanks.

I want to know the answer too.

Do you have enough spaces left on your app to list both? Fill as many spaces as possible...if you have too many activities, average them.

yea, i have extra spaces, but that's not the point, I don't want to do it and seem like I'm just trying to fill up the spaces, I just want a consistent answer to what's normally done.

bump, need an answer quick please :)

S plays one varsity sport all year round and has done so since freshman year. The winter season is the "high school" season for his sport. He then played spring and fall league teams (with different coaches, but mostly the same players) and summer league with the HS coach and team. He listed them separately to show he is active all year and that he has a considerable time commitment. He has been accepted to one school already.

I would list them as seperate things, unless you have limited space.

ok thanks.. now im just kind of confused about the order of their importance to me, lol.
