I switched majors between my freshman and sophomore years (I didn't do well in my first major). So my overall GPA is [relatively speaking] lacking: 3.45/4.00.

But I'm applying for internships and so I really need to list my major GPA, the GPA that reflects my current major, which is much higher than 3.45. Problem is, I don't know how to put it on my resume. I'm personally not sure how "Major GPA" is calculated. My advisor should have it, but according to her, it's faulty.

I took a summer class that should be included in my major GPA, but for some reason isn't; same goes for another class I took during the school year. Therefore, on my resume, I included a major GPA I calculated myself. The internship application also asks for an unofficial transcript, so I'm obviously not going to lie about my GPA. the transcript has all my grades but NOT my major GPA.

I'm current pursuing a BSBA, choosing Economics and Operations & Supply Chain management. When pursuing a BSBA, at least in my school, there's a Core Curriculum of various business classes to take, and a Professional Track, which lists the courses specific to each major (Finance, Accounting, Econ, OSCM, etc.). What I did was calculate my GPA based on ONLY the Professional Track courses specific to my 2 majors. Would this be correct?

My only concern is that if my interpretation of "Major GPA" is wrong, I won't get the internship because the employer would believe I'm lying about my GPA. I'm not lying because the transcript has my grades.
