Lit help needed

What is the best way I can prep for this test? I am self-studying to take it in October, and using the Barron's book, but there are quite a few terms to learn. I have read some classics but not much poetry or drama.

Oh, and which terms do I need to know for the test?

The best prep is the single released exam in the Collegeboard blue book.

barron’s was nothing like the test. You should know the terms given in collegeboard’s sample pdf (online) with all the tests. I think they are Apostrophe, Personification, Alliteration…

It’s a more basic version of the SAT I Critical Reading. It does include some terms. There definitely was poetry on the test. Perhaps you should review the literary terms, try a few practice sections from the SAT I. I personally waited until after having taken the SAT I and English 11H to attempt the SAT II Lit, and it was not too challenging.

I’ve taken the SAT I already and got 740 in CR; which book should I get besides Barron’s and the Official Subject Test guide?

To my recollection, I don’t think you really need anything else. If you got a 740 on CR, you might not even need to study too much.

How’s Kaplan for practice tests? I have Barron’s, and the review material was great, but the tests are so-so. I typically like to prepare just by doing a lot of practice questions/tests so I’m looking for a good source.
