Lit. Programs

Does anyone know of any great literature programs?

I mean, I love to read. It's this unyielding passion, and I'd love to research or just spend a summer talking to a lit. professor. I do not want to write or anything, just discuss literature.

I understand that summer college programs may provide literature classes, but I do not want to participate in one of these. They just don't appeal to me.

Any ideas?

I would suggest the great books program at thomas aquinas -- well known, excellent reputation and the discussions are great! I am not sure about the amount of writing -- but it sounds like what you are looking for. the cost is very reasonable -- and it is not a college lit class, but guided discussion for advanced high school students

another option would be the great books programs at stanford or amherst. also a great program, but more costly (and it doesn't sound quite as awesome at the Thomas Aquinas one).

Wow. Those sound great. THANKS!

you are welcome -- hope you can attend one.
