lit SATII for math/sci person?

how hard is the lit SATII for a math/science person? Also, if I completely blew the SAT english section both times, but am aiming for a top ivy, should I take the lit SAT II? (I am planning to take the ACT in December...I'm hoping that's not too late considering I'm a senior already applying...all RD though).

Thanks!

pick up CB's official guide to subject tests and take a practice test at home. December testing is not too late for RD.

What is your SAT CR score? Assume that you will score -150 points without practice on the Literature test. You can easily bring it up by using the Kaplan book though :)

Just for your reference, I have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Literature and gotten 800s on all of them. Literature was by far the hardest (and I am not necessarily a "math and science" person)

I'd probably say literature is one of the hardest SAT II's, next to non-native languages, however that doesn't make it THAT bad. I'm a math/science person and I did ok on the literature test (710). Nothing special but that was with absolutely no prep (I didn't even bother trying a practice test beforehand) so even though it is harder than the other ones, specially math/science IMO, it's not too bad, especially if you DO practice a lot beforehand. I'm sure if you did really bad on CR but do a lot better on Lit that would at least partially make up for the bad CR since people view Lit as just a really hard version of CR with poetry.

I am a total math/sci person and I have stayed WAYY far away from the lit test. I got an 800 in math n 780 in chem for SAT II and 1 of my friends who got a 5 on AP Eng exam got a score in the high 600s for the lit SAT II... obviously though it's your choice. I probably would have failed the lit exam. If you do decide to take the Lit exam though, I recommend using a Kaplan or Princeton Review book to study.
