Didn't prep for either, so as someone who took them both cold, I would say I thought Literature was harder. More questions that require knowledge of literary terms and devices. And interpreting poems, things like that. I think taking AP Lang and Comp will help; I took it and I found that a lot of what is on the AP test is on the SAT Literature test.

The first time I took CR I got 750 with no prep. The second time, I got an 800. The first time for Lit, with some prep, 700. I took it once more, just cold, and got 750. Lit's harder, but if you're like me and read pretty much all the time, you'll pull off good scores fairly easily.

i got 730s on both, but i think CR is generally easier in terms of the actual reading comprehension (i get all my points off in the vocab sections.. UGH)

Did AP Lang/Comp last year, found that helped a lot with CR, but otherwise didn't prepare in any way. Lit has a lot of poetry and prose that is harder to understand...I think it is a harder exam overall.

Ok so I went ahead and did some statistics on the data here. I threw out multiple testers and some other data that could have skewed the results:

Mean CR: 752.57
Mean Lit: 745.71
The equation for the line is: Lit score = 459.66 + .38(CR Score)
The correlation between the data is .4
n = 35

I am kind of screwed for the Subject Tests. I am not taking any of those courses this year, basically. Lit was one of my only options. I'm hoping for a 650. Lit is one of my weakest subjects.
