I want to know from people who have taken the test before. How many of your ~60 questions were about literary/rhetoric devices?

Also, do I really need to learn about poetic forms like iambic pentameter or quatrain, or are they in prep books just to overprepare me?

Sister got a 770 with no prep at all, so I don’t they would test something so technical.

I took the test and there were few to none questions that I remember about literary/rhetoric devices. They test you more on comprehension and understanding of the the literature pieces, not on technical knowledge.
It may be helpful to know the technical terms just for the sake of understanding the poem better, but they are not the most important aspect of the SAT II Literature.
