what did u guys think of it?

i didnt finish da last two passages.....

haha
i didn't do too hot

i thought it was pretty hard

I thought it was a lot easier than the Kaplan practice test I took. One of the poems, I don't remember which, I read then skipped and came back. I think I left about 5 blank and guessed on 3-5.

Many were really easy but a few of them were very tricky or ambiguous.

i thought kaplan was alot easier than this one

I thought it was pretty easy, easier then the Princton practice I took. Then I realized I had twenty minutes to do the last 3 and a half sections and had to skip more then i wouldve liked....i hate poetry

any specifics u didnt know?

The one question with the poem and the guy on love. The question that was asking about the lines where he talks about the burning wood and true sorrow is wine...
didn't know that one.

I really hate poetry too but I'm glad those poems were pretty easy to understand.

yeah i didnt know that one either, i just left if blank

how about the random "Over and Over Stitches" poem? I couldn't really figure out the significance of the kudzu, etc.

yeah and the narrow string or something like that

Damn i went into the test expecting 1/3 of it to be poems. But it was like 2/3! *** lol. Maybe i should have done a practice test or something. AP Language MC was easier then this in my opinion, but i dont like poems too much. Anyway hoping for 700+. Probably 650-700 though.

Phew... I'm just relieved to get the exams over with. I was quite happy with the paper. Literature's always a bit iffy though, so I guess I'll have to wait for my results to see whether I reached 800.

yeah im glad too but it wasnt too easy for me

I LOVED the Stitches poem. I tried to google it but couldn't find it. I thought it was really great.

The midnight embalmer poem was for sure the hardest.

Damn...that test was HARD!

Ap lang was easier by far...

I hate poems.

i found it really hard, was the one poem about a politican>?

Which one?

Also, what is the grading curve?

Also, which is the one where the line about the Brute from the first passage by Douglass. Did you put bitter irony? Or denunciation?

And the tone of the one about the flowers and the person reminiscing about her dead husband. Was it melancholy?

i put bitter irony not sure about the second.... the politician was the excerpt rather, that had the quote in it towards the end it

grading curve is alright u can get like 15-20 wrong and get 700+ i think...
