Literature exam advice.

I was just wondering how hard this test actually is and what are the best books to prepare for it.

So poetry is the killer... How does the rest of it compare to the AP English language and composition multiple choice?

Okay so I just took the AP lang and comp and the sat II lit. The AP lang was difficul, but it was how I thought it would be. A few passages were confusing but if you take any practice test you'll see this. I practiced all year both in school and at home. I felt really prepared yet it was still difficult. For the AP the essays were okay but i thought they would all be on literary techniques while only one out of the three was on that. Also I spent a lot of time learning lit terms and although it was helpful it only helped a few times and not throughout the whole test. Also I found the time to not be an issue.

for the sat II the time was an issue. It took me the full hour and I wish I had more time to check answers over. Some q's were easier then the AP but most seemed more vague. Also there was a lot of poetry which i personally found difficult. Maybe since it was shorter it seemed easier then the AP but the material was very similar(besides the poetry). Hope this helps a little and good luck!

Also I would take practice tests and not worry about your score but just do it to become familiar with the test format and the time limit.
