Literature Help

hey everyone, how would you recommend preparing for the SAT II Literature? I have taken honors English and will take APEnglish starting next year. I got a 800 CR on the SAT, and a 36 for reading on the ACT. So, which prep books should I buy, and what else should I do/read before taking the test in October?

@whiterwalt7 The Barron’s book is pretty good. There aren’t many books available; as the Lit test is not as popular as math, for example.

Honestly, I did not study a lot for it, but previously got 800 on CR and W of the SAT I and took AP English this year in my junior year, and got a 790. If you’re inherently good at English, I don’t think you have to study a ton for it. Get Barron’s or Princeton Review and you’ll be fine! Good luck!

Hey! Coming from someone else who scored a 36 on the ACT Reading section and just took AP English, it wasn’t hard for me at all. I got a 790 with very, very minimal studying. I’d recommend just doing some of the practice questions the college board puts on their site.

I didn’t take AP English however, but I did qualify to take the class tomorrow, so should I make an effort to study?

@whiterwalt7 I think you should just do some practice questions College Board has and get either Barron’s or Princeton Review (I think I used PR and was fine). And you’re set!
