Little Confused.....

Hello All! Im a junior attending Fordham Preparatory school in NYC. I have a 3.6 GPA (unweighted, all honors classes). I have a verbal SAT of 670 and Math of 700. I have lots of extracirrriculars and have tons of doctors in my family. My question is..... Do I have a chance in hell in getting into a 7 year BA/MD program and if not, what are the better pre med programs in NY. Any help is greatly greatly appreciated. thanks to all in advance!!

any answers... please I really need some advice.......

I don't see why having a ton of doctors would help you. It'll depend on your rank , a 3.6 could be high or low depending on your school. A 1370 is not good though for a 7 year program you may want to study and shoot for at least a 1450.

actually i know ppl with less impressive stats than that who got into 7 yr programs around ny.....your best bet is stony brook i think but i'v never really looked into it.

Knowing tons of docs will help. Many many medical schools ask about family connections to their school. Often times family members can also place calls for you to their school and help you get in. Having connections in medicine helps a whole lot.

having connections helps in general no matter what
