<p>I'm pretty much stressing out right now about the whole UC application and things like that to transfer but I have a question concerning my GPA and if i will be able to make it to UCI. So I had a little problem concerning my grade where I got an F in my english class.. I'm applying right now and it's still there and my current gpa due to that is a 2.8. I was wondering if taking that class again right now (my last fall of JC) will have any chance to getting accepted at all or is the fall grade excluded. thanks</p>
<p>Are you in the class right now?It's pretty late in the Fall season so I am assuming that you have already started the new class.
Fall grades are important in the transfer process and are factored in. Later after the applications go in and when your fall semester ends, the UC portal will have you go online and update your fall grades. If you are using IGETC and are missing the required English classes, you will most likely not be accepted anywhere, especially if it is an F and hasn't been retaken.</p>
<p>Yes i'm in the class right now trying to replace it and using the IGETC. So even if I update my english grade after Fall, It's impossible for me to get accepted?</p>
<p>the opposite is true... if you have retaken the required class and replaced the F then you should be able to get into some of the UC's, so as long as you do well in this class, you should be fine</p>
