Two things:

Does anyone know what percentage of pre-screen applicants are asked to audition live? I got my email yesterday (so excited!) and am wondering what the numbers are at this stage.

Does the school offer help financially in transportation and lodging for the live audition?Seeing as how I’m in southern CA and there’s no regional MT audition on te west coast…I could use all the help I can to get to Ann Arbor.

Congratulations to all those that have been invited to audition, too! :)

Eastbound, sorry to let you know that there are probably at least a few hundred out of the huge numbers that pre-screen. Prescreen acceptances will not only audition on campus but will also be at Chicago Unifieds, though not an official member, where they will audition for 3 days.

Unfortunately, none of the MT programs will provide any financial assistance to applicants for any type of transportation or housing, etc. The auditioning numbers are way too high at all schools for this. You might think about attending Chicago Unifieds where you can possibly audition for a number of schools you are applying to at one time, including Michigan. However, you will have to make your mind up soon, as spots fill very quickly. Unifieds are at the start of February, and if you send me your email in a pm, I will send you the complete list of the official and unofficial schools who were there last year.
