<p>I made a silly mistake and just realized that the common app works on EST. I submitted my app today at 9:01 pm PST and on the common app page it says submitted on 1/1/11. This was such a stupid mistake on my part and I rushed when I found out that I only had like 15 mins left. Am I completely screwed? God I hope not. This might just ruin my whole New Year

<p>I did something similar except mine was 8 minutes late! Will this look like we can’t even make a simple deadline and make our applications look awful?</p>
<p>Ugh, I did the same thing! Except I submitted my supplement and paid on time. My commonapp was like 9 minutes late. On the one hand, I don’t think they’ll care that much and they’ll consider my application. On the other hand, they probably get lots of apps and want to cut down as many as they can without actually reading them. Hopefully the latter isn’t true!</p>

<p>My brother submitted his app earlier. He met the deadline for everything except the Common App because he was confused. </p>
<p>He wrote his essay on his capacity for empathy. I hope he gets in because it looks like Yale (and its interviewers) could learn from him.</p>
<p>I submitted at 11 PM pacific time so its 2 hours late according to east coast time. Does anyone think I’m okay or am I screwed?</p>
<p>Relax it’s okay. I was just accepted Yale EA and I submitted my app an entire day late and I was still accepted.</p>
