If you are living with family, you should have a formal lease agreement with that person and that person should give you receipts each month for the rent and utilities that you pay. Keep all your receipts for gas, groceries, etc. as well so that you can have all the proof needed to show that you are self-supporting if the residency reviewers ask for it when you apply to college.</p>
