I’m excited that I’ll get a glimpse of my daughter tonight in a school event that is being live-streamed. I’m curious as to how often other schools do this and for what kinds of events.
This is a college example, but my kid’s college live streams their graduation ceremony.
Andover has been streaming annually the commencement, the A/E game and State of Academy (maybe more).
SAS livestreams a lot more than commencement. From this weekend, celebrating the holidays, the school streamed the Dance Program’s annual performance of the Nutcracker, the Noxontones a cappella performance, and those of the Orchestra and the Jazz Ensemble.
Proctor has been doing this for a few years.
NMH has lots of livestream for sports, musical events and parents weekend events.
Westover live streams all major performances and events and even smaller ones ( info session on community service trips and study abroad programs) and even the parent info meeting with the college counselor. I saw my daughter sing this afternoon in the holiday Service of Lessons and Carols, and I was able to watch last night’s candlelight service on Livestream. I love it!
Choate live streamed all their volleyball games this season.
Hill streams most home athletic events and a few away ones. Not sure of anything else.
Cate live-streams most performances and special assemblies etc. They also live-stream CPO (parents’ association) meetings, which I find very useful & informative.
@cameo43 Looks like we enjoyed the same performance. Episcopal High School (EHS) utilizes “GoBleachers” to live stream a variety of campus related activities including chapel meetings, art/music/sporting events, special guest lectures, parent weekend info sessions, and valedictory/commencement. This past Friday pm we watched DS wrestle (two wins) and could see and hear DD cheering on her brother from the stands. Sunday pm we watched DS and the school choir sing at the Lessons and Carols service. While nothing replaces being there in person, the ability to watch live-streaming events helps us immensely.
Groton livestreams the Lessons & Carols service.
Mburg has been really great about streaming sports events; we watched kiddo play several soccer games this fall. IT’s great fun if you can’t be there. THey are streaming several of the girls’ basketball games; hoping they do boys too after break.
