I like living at home -honestly, I went to my aunt's house and visited them for a week but I missed my mom so much that I decided I will never move away again. I guess my experience is different than you guys. My mom is really nice. I like the feeling of staying at home when I come back from school - having someone to listen to me, worrying about my illness. I have a lot of freedom when I'm at home also. I can do whatever I want.

I guess with my grade, I can go to better school (which means I have to move out) but I rather stay at home and live with my mom.

You guys might say that I'm dumb - but think about it - you never know what happen tomorrow - as for myself, my family is more important than my career or jobs - I can get a decent job with my degree (which is accounting)

or ... perhaps because I didn't live with her when I was a kid that's why I want to spend as much time with her as I can now.

Even if you had your own space at home, you'd still have to see your parents/siblings every day. Not that I have anything against them, but you need time away from them to avoid getting tired of seeing the same people. What if you live in an apartment and don't have a basement to renovate? I don't really like living at home, but I don't like dorms either because dorms feel too much like a summer camp for kids.

According to their store locator there are none within a 25 mile radius of my office in Beverly Hills. I know there's one in Huntington Beach and a few more north of here, but they're few and far between. Other states have them on every corner. When I was in Texas a few years ago the bored car game was count the sonics. Because they were alllllllll over the place.

I'm clearly not torn up about our lack of them though.

*Edit- I just did a search for within 50 miles. The closest one to Beverly Hills is 31 miles away in Anaheim.

I' also m living at home at least for this semester (i'm a sophomore). I'm just happy that i'll have an extra 5,000$ in my bank account later on. Commuting will be tough, especially on rainy/snowy days, but I'm prepared. I'll probably drive ith my mom on some days if I don't feel like driving, because she works in the same city as my school. And as for living with my annoying family, I already told them that the main rule this year is "don't bother me, and i won't bother you".

eh i'll see how this goes--i start classes on the 5th.

PM me if you want, sydney bristow (lol alias)

Living on campus almost actually saves me money. I left my car at home and took it off the insurance. So no car insurance, no vehicle upkeep, no gas, etc almost is as much as the cost of dorming.
