Does anyone have any experiences living at the Village?
What would be the best location of a dorm?

I was a transfer that didn’t live at the village, but everyone I knew that did was eager to get out of there. It’s a good way to meet people that you can live somewhere else with though. This is all related to how expensive the place is, not necessarily that it’s a ‘bad’ place to live.

What are some alternative places that you can leave at?

just around campus…theres tons of apartments/townhouses/houses…people are always looking for roommates…good places to check are uloop.com (must have your school email to log on), craigslist, facebook marketplace… also if youre a transfer, transfers usually make a facebook group somewhere if you are trying to find someone else new to live with. the cost of living at the village is not worth it, hands down

^i believe they are lowering the prices of the village to match apartment prices for the rest of campus.

Even if they are lowering it, the apartments on campus are also ridiculously expensive and force you to buy gross dining hall food. I think the Village is good for meeting people but the guys I know who lived there all wish they had only stayed there for the first quarter (because of cost and dining hall food). You can find wayy cheaper places off campus.

oh i’m not saying that i’d live on campus unless i had to.
if i wanted to live somewhere expensive, i’d rather live in the towers and buy my own food. lol.
