I’m not 100% sure if this should be in the housing thread so forgive me if I’ve posted this in the wrong section.
Since Rush week is Week 0 before classes even start, if I get into a sorority as a junior transfer this fall, will I be able to move into the sorority house that quarter or will I have to wait? Should I make other arrangements to get into transfer housing or just stay home until I can move in the following quarter? Can you move into a house during winter, spring, or summer quarter too, or just fall? Please help!
I doubt you can move in fall quarter. If you are pledged by a house in fall rush, you are not actually in the sorority yet. You are a pledge during that quarter and go thru all the pledge activities before you are actually a member.
@mikemac is right, you’ll be a pledge until winter quarter. Your first chance to move into a house will be winter of 18. I think you might have to wait considering sororities are quite large and there is high demand to live in the house. Getting to live in is based on seniority so most likely you’ll wait until fall of 18 or spring of 17
