Hi, I just got accepted into UCLA and UC Berkeley.
I know this may sound stupid but do you think it is possible to live in an RV while going to school by just parking it at different parking lots and spaces from night to night?
Does anone think this would be possable at UC Berkeley or UCLA?

Very funny.

i have a feeling ur not allowed to park for long periods of time like that

and its not safe

You ain't gonna find parking near Berkeley.

trollllllllllllllllll

haha.. you'd need a more permanant place to park it wouldn't you? so you could get mail.. and maybe get the sewer pumped out & have fresh running water? You could maybe look online to see if there are any RV parks nearby.. although I doubt it.

Definitely not at UCLA.

Unless moving it every 2 hours sounds like a good time.

That said: Troll.

I remember reading a story about some football player in Florida that lived out of a van, and after the dean or somebody found out, he was given free housing. He took his showers at the YMCA.

A student at NYU slept in the library.

You can park an RV in any WalMart parking lot for free overnight, it is an accepted practice. I did it for anout 4 months when I was travelling cross-country.

you're obviously not planning to get laid. picture taking a chick back to your...RV...

ya i know it sounds stupid, but i dont have much money and even with finical aid i will still be up to neck with loans. my friend that goes to UC santa Cruz pays $1200 a month for a room that is smaller than my RV and i wouldnt have to live with anyone else.

p.s. I'm not a dam troll!

This is probably the coolest idea i've heard of. Chicks totally dig RVs.

I knew a kid that slept in the storage lockers in our department's building...

how did you 'just now' get into berkeley or ucla? were u on the waiting list or something. O_O

Im a waitlist transfer

I could have sworn that UCs have there own rv parks. No?

There is something called work camping or kamping basically you get a job or volunteer somewhere that has rv docking stations like a national park or something and you get to park there and get all the amenities for free.

Here is an example program

Heh im thinking about living in an RV myself seems cheaper then apartment.

At Berkeley you can always stay at People's Park...

thanks kenshi

I know the walmart thing the owner or founder of walmarts son died b/c he fell asleep at the wheel so ne one who cannot afford To stay at a hotel nearby while traveling cross country..u just Park in a Walmart is for FREE! I found that out while my sleepaway camp went to walmart and we were talking about it...that was 1 1/2 weeks ago
