Living in Brody Neighborhood As An Engineering Student?

I’m looking at possible dorms/neighborhoods I would want to stay in if I decided on going to MSU and I’d say that Brody stands out to me of the dining hall’s variety and the fact that the bathrooms are community style. However, I would be majoring in engineering and that is one of the farthest neighborhoods from the engineering building. Is there anyone out there that decided on staying in Brody and was an engineering student. Did you or anyone you know find it to be a hassle to commute that far for every engineering class you had there or am I making too big of a deal over it’s location?
Also, since I would be a freshman I wouldn’t have all/most of my classes in the engineering building like some of you upperclassmen that might respond to this so that’s a plus if the distance is a bit too much.
Thanks in advance!

Brody has a ton of freshman, and everyone who lives in Brody will have to go far to get to class. It’s not a huge thing but most people prefer suite style bathrooms, but you get used to it either way. Brody is worth it just for the cafeteria. Otherwise Snyder-Phillips and Shaw are the best dorms. Wilson is closest to the engineering building though.

I lived in Snyder Phillips and it was excellent. Also, don’t worry about where the dorms are. State is huge and everything is far away. Just bring a bike.

Alright thanks!
